COVID-19 Victim’s Relative Urges Govt to Initiated Action Against Moon Hospital


Belagavi : As one of their infected of COVID-19 breathed his last at Moon hospital on Mandolli road on Monday morning for non availability of oxygen cylinder, the deceased’ relatives, family members, friends held a protest demanding the government to action against the erring hospital.

Token protest was conducted on the premises of DC office where a memorandum quoting how their person died due to the negligence of the hospital medical team. They said COVID-19 cases in the city are on rise and many hospitals started COVID-19 wards, charging huge rate more than ₹ 25, 000 per day. However, in spite paid such an amount hospitals not caring the infected.

People protested had admitted Yallappa Jadhav, a resident from Angol who was infected of Corona Virus and was rushed to Moon Hospital in Mandolli road near Guruprasad colony on Sunday evening. He was said to be serious and breathed his last on Monday morning.

Those admitted him to the hospital alleged that he died as he was not given support of the ventilator. Angry over the death, those from his side gathered on the hospital premises protested shouting slogans against the hospital while a few stones were pelted on the hospital.
